how to add romanian language for dubbing?

The error "Audition not supported for this language" indicates that the selected TTS (Text-to-Speech) voice role does not support the Romanian language for preview/audition. This does not necessarily mean the voice cannot speak Romanian; it may just lack a preview sample.

To add or use Romanian language for dubbing in pyVideoTrans, follow these steps:

  1. Select a TTS Provider that Supports Romanian:

    • In the main interface, go to the "Dubbing (TTS)" section (Line 4).
    • Click the dropdown menu next to "Voice Role".
    • You will see a list of available voices grouped by TTS provider (e.g., edge-tts, vits-cnen, AzureTTS).
    • Look for voices that include ro-RO (Romanian) or ro in their name. For example, edge-tts:ro-RO-AlinaNeural is a Romanian voice from Microsoft Edge-TTS.
  2. If No Romanian Voice is Listed:

    • For Edge-TTS: The software includes all Microsoft Edge-TTS voices by default. If ro-RO voices are missing, try restarting the software. If they still don't appear, it might be a temporary bug; you can proceed to step 3.
    • For Other TTS Providers (Azure, OpenAI, etc.): You must ensure your API key or account has access to Romanian voices. You may need to select a specific Romanian voice model/name within your provider's dashboard and then manually type or select it in pyVideoTrans if it doesn't auto-populate.
  3. Configure Language Settings Correctly:

    • In the "Translation Settings" section (Line 3), ensure:

      • "Target Language" is set to Romanian.
    • This is crucial because the TTS engine will use the target language to select the appropriate voice.
  4. Proceed Without Audition (if necessary):

    • If you find a Romanian voice but the "Audition" button is grayed out or gives an error, you can still select it.
    • The voice should work for the final dubbing even if the preview is not supported. You can run a test on a short video to verify.

Summary of actions:

  1. Set Target Language to Romanian.
  2. In the Voice Role dropdown, look for and select a voice containing ro-RO (e.g., from edge-tts).
  3. If audition fails, ignore it and proceed with the translation+dubbing process for a test.
