The "Voice preview unsupported" error typically occurs when the selected TTS (Text-to-Speech) voice role is not compatible with the chosen target language in the "Preview Voice" function.
To resolve this, follow these steps:
- Select Target Language First: In the main interface, ensure you have selected the correct Target Language (e.g., English, Chinese) before choosing a voice role.
- Choose Compatible Voice Role: After selecting the target language, click the Voice Role dropdown menu. The list will now show only the voices that support the selected language. Choose a voice from this updated list.
- Retry Preview: Once a compatible voice is selected, click the Preview Voice button again.
If the issue persists, it may be related to a specific TTS service (like Edge-TTS) having temporary issues or the voice list not loading correctly. In this case:
- Restart the pyVideoTrans application.
- Ensure you have a stable internet connection if using an online TTS service like Edge-TTS.
- As a test, try a different TTS channel (e.g., switch from "Edge-TTS" to "gTTS(free)") and see if the preview works.
