The error "Permission denied" indicates that pyVideoTrans cannot write to the target output directory. This is usually caused by one of the following:

  1. Path too long or contains problematic characters – Your file path is lengthy and includes spaces and numbers, which can exceed Windows' default 260-character limit or cause permission issues.
  2. No write permission – The _video_out folder might not exist, or Windows is blocking the write operation.

Solutions:

  1. Move the video to a short, simple path (e.g., D:\videos\video.mp4). Avoid long folder names, spaces, or special characters.
  2. Manually create the output folder – Create a folder like D:\output and set it as the output directory in the software (click "Output to" button).
  3. Run as Administrator – Right-click sp.exe and select "Run as administrator" to ensure write permissions.
  4. Disable antivirus temporarily – Some security software may block writes. Add the software folder to the exclusion list.

If the issue persists, provide the last 30 lines from the log file in logs/ folder for further analysis.
