The error "Video required" typically occurs when you attempt to start a translation task without selecting any video or audio file. This is by design – the software needs an input file before it can process.
To resolve:
- Ensure you have clicked the "Select A/V" button (or "翻译视频或音频") and chosen at least one valid video/audio file from your system. Supported formats: mp4/mov/avi/mkv/webm/mpeg/ogg/mts/ts/wmv/flv (video), wav/mp3/m4a/flac/aac/wma/ogg (audio).
- Verify the file path does not contain non-ASCII characters, spaces, or special symbols. Move the file to a simple folder like
D:\videos\test.mp4. - If you are using the "Folder" mode, make sure the folder actually contains compatible media files.
- Check if the file is playable outside the software (e.g., with VLC) to rule out corruption.
If the problem persists after following these steps, please open the software root directory D:\PyVideoTrans, enter the logs/ folder, and share the most recent log file (copy the last 30 lines from the bottom) with me. This will help pinpoint whether it’s a path‑related issue, a missing ffmpeg dependency, or an internal bug.
