#7752 429 Client Error: Too Many Requests for url: https://www.google.com/sorry/index?continue=https://translate.google.com/m%

The 429 error is Google Translate's rate-limiting / IP-blocking, not a bug in pyVideoTrans.

Core causes:

1. If you are using a VPN/proxy to reach Google, your node IP is likely flagged as "abnormal traffic" by Google.
2. Too many requests sent too quickly.

Solutions (in order of preference):

1. Switch to a cleaner VPN/proxy node, or wait a while and retry.
2. Reduce request frequency: go to Menu -> Tools/Options -> Advanced Options -> Translation (字幕翻译调整) and increase Pause (s) after each translation request (翻译后暂停秒) and/or lower Batch size (lines) for traditional translation (传统翻译渠道每批字幕行数).
3. Best fix — stop using Google Translate.
   
   Switch the translation channel to an AI LLM (DeepSeek / OpenAI / Gemini), which is more stable and gives better quality.
   
   For DeepSeek: register at https://platform.deepseek.com, get an API key, and fill it in Menu -> Translation Settings -> DeepSeek.
   
   (Note: for common languages like English→French, you may also just use Microsoft Translate, which needs no VPN.)
4. Alternatively use the offline local model M2M100(Built-in) (model auto-downloads on first use).

Note (from v4.13): before translating, the software now checks Google's return status first — if 429 is detected it auto-switches to Microsoft Translate, and other status codes also fall back to Microsoft.

You are on v4.08; upgrading will at least make the fallback automatic.

Your config shows STT Service: openai-whisper(Built-in), model_name: tiny — for better accuracy consider large-v3 or large-v3-turbo if you have an NVIDIA GPU, otherwise keep the model small.
