This is a network DNS resolution failure.

The error socket.gaierror: [Errno 11001] getaddrinfo failed on edge.microsoft.com means the Microsoft Translate (Free) channel cannot be reached — either your network cannot resolve that domain (DNS blocked / no internet / proxy issue), or the Microsoft free endpoint is currently unreachable from your region.

Additionally, your setup has a second problem: you selected Spanish (Latin America) (es-419) as the target language together with the Microsoft Translate (Free) channel.

es-419 is one of the less common languages, and non-AI traditional channels may not support it, which can also cause failures.

Solutions:

  1. Fix the network / DNS issue first.

    • Verify you can open https://edge.microsoft.com in a browser.

      If not, it is a DNS/network block.
    • If you use a VPN/proxy, fill the correct http proxy in the proxy box on the right of the Alignment row (e.g.

      http://127.0.0.1:10808).

      Ensure the proxy service is actually running and the port is correct.
    • If you do NOT need a proxy, leave the proxy box empty.

      A wrong/invalid proxy address will cause all requests to fail.
    • If still failing, try changing your DNS (e.g.

      to 8.8.8.8 / 1.1.1.1) or switching network.

  2. Switch the translation channel (recommended). The Microsoft free API is unstable and is often unreachable.

    Use DeepSeek or another AI model instead:

    • Go to Menu → Translation Settings → DeepSeek, fill in your API key (register at https://platform.deepseek.com/).
    • Then select DeepSeek in the translation channel dropdown.
  3. Regarding es-419 (Spanish - Latin America): for less common languages such as this, it is strongly recommended to use an AI large-model channel only.

    Traditional channels may not support it or may use mismatched language codes, causing errors.
  4. After changing settings, re-check Clear Output (清理已生成) before retrying.
