The error list index out of range at this stage usually means the software failed to locate or read a required subtitle/segment file (often caused by a failed or incomplete model download, or a malformed/empty generated SRT), and then tried to index into an empty list.
To pin down the exact cause, please provide more details:
- Which function were you using? (翻译视频/Translation V/A, 语音转录/Speech-to-Text, 文字配音/Text-to-Speech, 翻译字幕/Translation Srt, 转录翻译/STT-Translation)
- Which STT / Translation / TTS channel and model were selected?
- Did it fail at the very beginning, or after some progress (e.g. after recognition, after translation, after dubbing)?
- Please copy the last ~30 lines of the latest log file from
C:/Users/ADMIN/Downloads/win-pyvideotrans-v4.15/logs/ (the file named by date, e.g. YYYYMMDD.log).
Some common root causes to check in the meantime:
- Model download failure: models are not bundled and are downloaded on first use. A partially downloaded or missing model often causes indirect errors like this. Confirm the model exists and is complete under
models/. If in doubt, delete the model folder and re-download. - Empty / malformed SRT: if you imported an existing SRT or a previous step produced an empty
zh-cn.srt/target .srt, later steps can hit an empty list. Check the output folder _video_out/-/ for the generated subtitle files and confirm they contain valid SRT content. - Path/name issues: ensure the video path and filename contain only simple English letters, numbers and no special symbols or spaces, and avoid deeply nested or long paths (e.g. move to
D:/myvideo.mp4). - Retry cleanly: tick
清理已生成(Clear Output) and retry once, to avoid reusing a corrupted cached file.
