This 429 error means Google's free translation endpoint has temporarily blocked your IP/nodes as abnormal traffic — typically because your VPN/proxy exit node is flagged, or you sent requests too fast. Your log shows this is the Google Translate (Free) channel at the SRT translation stage (target language: Persian).

Note: your build is v4.11. The automatic "detect first, fall back to Microsoft" logic was only added in v4.13, so v4.11 has no fallback and will fail hard like this.

Solutions, in order:

  1. Change VPN node (most common fix)

    • Google free translation requires an overseas network in China. Shared/cheap nodes are often already blacklisted by Google.
    • Switch to a cleaner node/dedicated IP, then retry. Make sure the proxy is filled correctly in the main window (format http://127.0.0.1:port, e.g. http://127.0.0.1:10808).

  2. Lower the request rate

    • Menu -> Tools/Options -> Advanced Options -> Translation:

      • Batch size (lines) for traditional translation → set to 1
      • Pause (s) after each translation request → set to 3 or higher
    • Retry with Clear Output (清理已生成) checked, otherwise the cached/failed state may be reused.

  3. Switch to Microsoft Translate (Free) — recommended

    • Microsoft's free API does not require a VPN and is not rate-blocked the same way. Just change the TranslateSrt channel dropdown to Microsoft(Free).

  4. Switch to an AI model — best quality and stability

    • Register at https://platform.deepseek.com/, top up (as low as 1 unit), get an API key, fill it into Menu -> Translation Settings -> DeepSeek, then select DeepSeek as the translation channel.
    • Persian (fa) is a mainstream language, so DeepSeek/OpenAI/Gemini will handle it reliably. AI channels have no frequency-limit issue like Google's free endpoint.

  5. Upgrade the software

    • v4.13 and later automatically detect Google's status code; on 429 they use a fallback library, and on other codes fall back to Microsoft Translate. Download link: https://pyvideotrans.com/downpackage

Also note: your log shows SendSRT is checked, which sends the full SRT block per request. With the free Google endpoint this increases the chance of tripping the limit; combined with decreasing the batch size as in step 2, it should be stable.
