This is an Edge-TTS rate limit / IP block issue. Edge-TTS (Free) uses Microsoft's public WebSocket endpoint; when too many requests arrive in a short time (or your public IP is flagged), Microsoft's firewall returns 403 Invalid response status and blocks the connection.

Solution steps:

  1. Reduce concurrency and increase request delay:

    • Go to Menu → Tools/Options → Advanced Options → Dubbing
    • Set EdgeTTS配音渠道配音并发数/(The higher concurrent of EdgeTTS) to 1
    • Set 配音后暂停秒/(Pause (s) after each dubbing request) to 5–10
    • Also set 并发配音线程数/(Concurrent dubbing threads) to 1

  2. Wait before retrying:

    • A 403 ban is usually temporary. Stop the task, wait 10–30 minutes, then restart with the settings above.
    • Retrying immediately with the same IP will keep being rejected.

  3. If you are using a VPN/proxy on this machine:

    • Edge-TTS may fail when routed through a proxy. Create an empty file named edgetts-noproxy.txt in the software root directory (next to sp.exe) to force Edge-TTS to bypass the proxy. EdgeTTS will also auto-disable the proxy and retry when it detects proxy errors.
    • Alternatively switch to a cleaner VPN node, or clear the proxy field in the main interface if not needed.

  4. If the 403 persists, switch the dubbing channel:

    • Try Qwen3-TTS (Built-in), OmniVoice-TTS, or gTTS as an alternative.
    • Note the Spanish voice es-ES-XimenaNeural is valid; the 403 is not caused by the voice selection but by the connection being rejected.
