This is an Edge-TTS rate-limit block (HTTP 403), not a bug in your configuration. Edge-TTS uses Microsoft's free public WebSocket endpoint; when too many requests are sent in a short burst, Microsoft's firewall temporarily blocks your public IP, causing 403 Invalid response status. Your log confirms the root cause: the request failed on the speech.platform.bing.com synthesize endpoint for voice fr-FR-RemyMultilingualNeural, and no proxy was in use (proxy_str=None).

Fix (do these in order)

  1. Throttle Edge-TTS requests

    • Go to Menu → Tools/Options → Advanced Options → Dubbing Settings
    • Set Concurrent dubbing threads (EdgeTTS) → 1
    • Set Pause (s) after each dubbing request → 5 to 10
    • Save and retry. This is the standard cure for repeated 403s.

  2. Enforce proxy bypass for Edge-TTS (if you have any proxy/VPN configured)

    • In the software root directory (where sp.exe is), create an empty text file named edgetts-noproxy.txt.
    • This forces Edge-TTS to skip the network proxy, which is a common cause of connection failures.

  3. If 403 persists immediately

    • The IP block may be temporary. Wait ~15–30 minutes before retrying, or switch your network/VPN node (if VPN is active, the exit IP may be flagged).
    • Alternatively, switch the TTS channel to gTTS (Free) or a local/built-in TTS channel (e.g. Qwen3-TTS, OmniVoice, ZipVoice) to continue the job without waiting.

Notes

  • Keep concurrency at 1 and pause at 5–10s permanently if you dub frequently — it is the only reliable way to avoid Edge-TTS bans.
  • Your pipeline settings are otherwise fine (single-video mode, faster-whisper large-v3-turbo, French target, voice fr-FR-RemyMultilingualNeural). Only the Edge-TTS request throttling needs correction.
