This error means the software did not receive a valid input file path when you clicked Start — the "Select Video/Audio" field is still empty (or the path it holds is no longer valid/readable).
Solutions:
- Click the Select Video/Audio (选择音频或视频) button at the top-left and pick a valid
mp4/mkv/avi/mov/wav/mp3 file, or check Folder to point at a folder. - Confirm the file still exists at that exact path — if you moved, renamed, or deleted it after importing, re-select it.
- Check the file path: move the file to a short, plain path containing only English letters/numbers/underscores, e.g.
D:/videos/001.mp4. Paths with Chinese characters, spaces, emoji or over-long directory depth can prevent the path from being registered correctly. - Avoid putting the file in restricted locations (
C:\Program Files, C:\Windows). - After selecting, make sure the main window's top row actually shows the file name before hitting Start.
If the file is clearly selected and displayed, yet the same error still appears, the path string is likely being rejected during validation. Copy the file to D:/ with a simple name like D:/test.mp4 and retry.
If it still fails, provide the latest log file from the software's logs/ folder (copy roughly the last 30 lines) for analysis.
