The 403 WSServerHandshakeError on wss://speech.platform.bing.com/... means Microsoft's free Edge-TTS endpoint is rejecting your connection — either your IP has been temporarily rate-limited/blocked due to high-frequency requests, or the request is being routed through a proxy that Microsoft rejects. This is not a bug in pyVideoTrans itself.

Solutions (in order):

  1. Reduce request frequency — Go to Menu → Tools/Options → Advanced Options → Dubbing (字幕配音调整):

    • Set EdgeTTS配音渠道配音并发数 (Higher concurrent of EdgeTTS) to 1
    • Set 配音后暂停秒 (Pause after each dubbing request) to 5–10
    • Retry the task after saving.
  2. Bypass the proxy for Edge-TTS — If the "Proxy" box on the main window (Alignment row) is filled in, either clear it, or create an empty file named edgetts-noproxy.txt in the software root directory to force Edge-TTS to ignore the proxy. A dirty/blocked proxy node is a very common cause of this 403.
  3. Change your egress IP — If steps 1 and 2 fail, your public IP is temporarily blocked by Microsoft's firewall. Wait some time, or switch network (e.g. restart router / use mobile hotspot) and retry.
  4. Use an alternative TTS channel — Qwen3-TTS (built-in), OmniVoice, or another channel can be used instead of Edge-TTS if the block persists.
  5. Fix the installation path (recommended) — Your root directory is E:/New folder (5)/win-PatchUpdate-v4.15, which contains a space and parentheses. Move the whole folder to a simple all-English path such as E:\pyVideoTrans to avoid additional unexpected errors.
