This message means the software did not receive a valid input file path when you clicked Start (Start) — the file list is empty. It is not an error of the install itself.
Checklist:
- Click the top-left
Select Video/Audio button and pick an actual file (mp4/mkv/avi/mov/wav/mp3...). Do not type a path manually. - If you checked
Folder, you must select a folder in the dialog that opens — checking Folder alone with no folder chosen produces this same warning. - Do not start a second instance of
sp.exe while one is already running; verify only one window is open and the file name is visible in the input field. - Move the video to a simple path and rename it using only English letters/digits/underscore, e.g.
D:/videos/001.mp4. Special characters, spaces, emoji, or very long paths can make the selection fail to register. - Note your install location is
C:/Users/Artem/Downloads/win-pyvideotrans-v4.15. Downloads is scanned/blocked by some antivirus tools and may cause file-access issues. Recommended: move the whole folder to a short, non-system path such as D:\pyVideoTrans (or at least C:\pyVideoTrans), then run sp.exe from there — preferably as administrator once, and add the folder to your antivirus whitelist. - If the input field does show the file but the warning still appears, or if the app crashed/no window appeared, provide the log below.
If it still fails after the above, this cannot be diagnosed from the information given. Please provide the newest file in the logs/ folder inside the software directory (copy the last ~30 lines).
