The SSL certificate verification failure is caused by a proxy, antivirus, or firewall intercepting your connection to speech.platform.bing.com and presenting a self-signed certificate that Python cannot verify.

  1. Bypass the proxy for Edge-TTS
Create an empty file named edgetts-noproxy.txt in the software root directory (C:\Users\anh.khuong\Downloads\win-pyvideotrans-v4.15\). This forces Edge-TTS to skip the proxy and connect directly.
  2. Clear/disable the proxy in the software
In the main window, locate the network proxy text box (near the alignment controls) and remove any proxy address, or make sure it points to a valid proxy without SSL interception. An invalid or intercepted proxy is the most common cause of this error.
  3. Temporarily disable antivirus/firewall or add an exception
Some security tools inject self-signed certificates into HTTPS traffic. Add the pyVideoTrans folder and speech.platform.bing.com to the trusted/exception list, or temporarily disable the tool to test.
  4. Switch to another TTS channel as a workaround
Use a different free TTS such as gTTS, or a local model like Qwen3-TTS / F5-TTS, until the network issue is resolved.
  5. Upgrade to v4.16
The latest version includes fixes for Edge-TTS connectivity issues. Download the latest patch or full package from https://pyvideotrans.com/downpackage and overwrite the current installation.
