#8176 Video file selection required

The error "Video file selection required" means no input video/audio file was provided before starting the task.

Solution

1. In GUI (sp.exe)

   • Click the "Select Video/Audio" button on the first row of the main interface and choose at least one file (mp4/mkv/avi/mov/wav/mp3, etc.).
   • Only after a file is selected will the Start button proceed normally.

2. In CLI mode (source deployment)

   • The --name FILE argument is mandatory for all task types (stt, tts, sts, vtv).

   • Example:

     uv run cli.py --task vtv --name "D:/videos/myvideo.mp4" --source_language_code zh-cn --target_language_code en --voice_role "en-US-GuyNeural"

If you are already selecting a file and still see this error, please provide the latest 30 lines from the log file under logs/ (e.g. E:/TS-HTGL1_KHO2/Software/win-pyvideotrans-v4.16-1/logs/) so the exact cause can be identified.
