#8224 Video file selection required

This error indicates that the software could not obtain a valid input video/audio file before starting the translation task. The most common cause is simply not selecting a file, or the selected file path is invalid/unreadable.

Solution

1. In the 翻译视频 (Translation V/A) panel, click the Select Video/Audio button at the top-left and choose a supported file (mp4/mkv/avi/mov/wav/mp3 etc.).
2. If you are using the CLI (command line), make sure you have passed the --name parameter with an absolute path to the file, e.g. uv run cli.py --task vtv --name "E:/videos/test.mp4" ....
3. Check that the selected file actually exists, is not corrupted, and is readable. If the file is on a network drive or has been moved/renamed, the software may not be able to read it.
4. The directory you provided (E:/ayman/my app/ai debug) contains spaces. While this usually works, some local ffmpeg handlers can be sensitive to special characters. If the problem persists, try moving your project and files to a simple path like E:\videotrans\test.mp4.

If you still see this error after verifying the above steps, please provide the most recent 30 lines from the logs/ folder so we can investigate further.
