The clone voice role has no standalone audio sample to audition — it is generated dynamically by cutting a 3–10 s reference clip from the original video according to each subtitle's start/end time. Therefore it cannot be previewed in TTS Settings (the Listen/Test button) nor in the standalone Text-to-Speech panel, where no original video exists.
Steps to actually audition clone audio:
- Confirm you are in the left panel
Translation V/A (video translation). The clone role is only available there; in Text-to-Speech it is unusable by design. - Select only one video file (single-video interactive mode), and make sure
Menu → Tools/Options → Advanced Options → General → Countdown for single video translation pause is greater than 0. - Start the task, pass stage 1 (subtitle edit → "Continue without saving") and stage 2 (role assignment).
- At stage 3 (dubbing review panel), right-click the dubbing duration cell or the subtitle cell of a line → choose
试听配音 (audition) or 重新配音 (re-dub). - Note that in this window audio and video are not yet speed-aligned, so playback will likely look unsynchronized — this is normal and not a failure.
If audition produces silence, garbled audio, or an error, check:
Advanced Options → ASR Settings → VAD:min speech duration(ms) must be ≥ 3000 (shorter clips make voice cloning fail).Advanced Options → ASR Settings → VAD:max speech duration(s) set to 6–10.- Tick
Separate Vocal/BGM in More... to improve reference-audio quality.
If an actual error message appears, provide the last ~30 lines of the newest file in D:/pyVideoTrans/logs/ for analysis.
