The root cause is that you have selected the DeepLX translation channel, which requires a locally deployed DeepLX service running at http://127.0.0.1:1188/translate. The error WinError 10061 / Connection refused means nothing is listening on port 1188 — the DeepLX service is not started (or not running on that port).

You have two options:

Option A — Stop using DeepLX (recommended for most users)

  1. Go to Menu → Translation Settings and switch the translation channel away from DeepLX.
  2. For quality, select an AI channel such as DeepSeek / OpenAI ChatGPT / Gemini (fill in the API key first), or use the free Google(免费) / Microsoft(免费) channels.

Option B — Deploy DeepLX locally and keep using it

  1. Deploy the DeepLX project on your machine (default port 1188), and confirm the service is actually running.
  2. Verify it works by opening http://127.0.0.1:1188/translate in a browser or via a test request.
  3. Make sure the address configured in the software's DeepLX settings matches your running service (http://127.0.0.1:1188). Do not use 0.0.0.0 — replace it with 127.0.0.1.
  4. Local services normally bypass the proxy automatically, but if you have filled a proxy in the main interface, verify it is valid; an invalid proxy will cause all requests to fail.
