This error means the software did not detect a valid video/audio file in the input box, so it cannot start the task.
Handling steps:
- In the upper-left corner of the main window, click Select Video/Audio and actually select a file (mp4/mkv/avi/mov/wav/mp3, etc.).
- Confirm that the selected video contains clear human speech; videos with only BGM or images cannot be processed.
- Rename the video file to a short English + digit name (e.g.,
video1.mp4). Remove emoji and special symbols, and place it in a shallow directory (e.g., D:/videotrans) to avoid path/parsing failures. - If you selected a folder, confirm that the Folder checkbox is checked and that the folder actually contains supported video files.
Additionally: the current running directory is C:/Users/NP/Downloads/win-pyvideotrans-v4.17. It is recommended to extract the entire software to a short path containing only English letters and digits (e.g., D:/pyVideoTrans) and run it again. Do not run it directly inside the compressed package or in the Downloads directory.
If you have confirmed that a file is selected and the error still appears, please provide the last 30 lines of error information from the latest log file in the logs/ folder under the software installation directory for further analysis.
