The model download failed because the software cannot connect to huggingface.co (a network/proxy/SSL problem). The traceback (Distant resource does not seem to be on huggingface.co / LocalEntryNotFoundError) is a Hugging Face connection failure, not a software bug. This is triggered when you click Listen on the Qwen3-TTS voice, because that voice requires the built-in model to be present first.

Solutions (in order of preference):

  1. Manually download the model (most reliable).

    • URL: https://huggingface.co/Qwen/Qwen3-TTS-12Hz-0.6B-CustomVoice/tree/main
    • Click the download icon next to each file on that page and download all of them (including config.json, model.safetensors, tokenizer files, etc.).
    • Put them directly into exactly this folder (create it if it does not exist):
      C:/Users/anton/Downloads/win-pyvideotrans-v4.17-1028/models/models--Qwen--Qwen3-TTS-12Hz-0.6B-CustomVoice
Do not create an extra subfolder inside it.
    • Before downloading, delete any partially downloaded files already in that folder. If the browser renamed duplicates like model(2).safetensors, rename them back to the original name (model.safetensors), otherwise the software cannot find them.
  2. Fix the network route instead of downloading manually.

    • If you use a proxy, fill it in the Proxy box in the alignment row of the main window in the format http://127.0.0.1:port, and make sure it is actually running.
    • If you do not use a proxy but the download still fails, the default domestic mirror hf-mirror.com is being tried and failing. Create an empty file named huggingface.txt in the software root directory (C:/Users/anton/Downloads/win-pyvideotrans-v4.17-1028/) to force downloads from huggingface.co, then retry.
    • Verify the firewall / SSL certificates allow access to https://huggingface.co.
  3. Skip the model entirely.
If you only need English dubbing, use the Edge-TTS (Free) channel instead. It requires no model download and supports all built-in languages. Qwen3-TTS is also very slow when the flash-attn module is not installed.
  4. If the model file already exists but an error still occurs, create an empty netoffline.txt in the software root directory to force offline model loading.
